Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth are not engaged -- yet

A representative for Sweet Home Alabama and Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon has denied that the 35 year old actress is engaged to her talent agent boyfriend Jim Toth as insinuated by rumors and news.

The statement, “They are not engaged”, dished to People.com by the representative may serve as an appeal for the rumors circulating to stop but according to the same report, it does not mean that the engagement will not happen in the future.

According to the site’s source, the couple is not rushing on getting engaged as there is no timetable to watch out for but it will definitely happen in the future.

Toth and the award-winning Witherspoon started dating last January of this year after the actress split from Prince of Persia: Sands of Time actor Jake Gyllenhaal in the last quarter of 2009.

Reese Witherspoon had a previous marriage with Ryan Phillippe. The duo has two children.
